Our goal is to create a habitat garden on our school courtyard. Both Calvin Park PS and Loyalist Collegiate Vocational Institute share this space. This garden will include a variety of native plants, and students and staff will be able to access it throughout the day. 

We’re hoping that students will learn more about native plant species, the importance of insects, keystone plants and soft landings, and hopefully be inspired to take further action to help our planet.

Our hope is also to be part of a local network of gardens that provide pollinators and other species a corridor along which they can collect food and find shelter.
